What does the phrase "financial security" mean to you?
Does it mean being debt-free? Having enough money to take a year off
work? It might just be paying your bills in full every month with a little
extra to save or spend.
There's really no wrong answer – money, and what it means to
you, is personal. Above all, I believe financial
security means having choices.
The choice to
change careers or leave a job that's not right for you. To stay home with the
kids. To start a business. Or simply the choice to remain on the same path, but with the knowledge that you are choosing that path rather than being trapped by money.
This is my basic philosophy about money and I am passionate about sharing it with everyone so that they can make better choices and feel financially secure. You can find me writing a bi-weekly column about this at Career Girl Network, or through various press interviews. As a National Spokesperson for financial literacy and through writing, social media and speaking, I am always looking for ways to spread the message and inspire people to action.
Do I work with clients? I do have a "real job" and that comes first. When life permits and there is no conflict of interest with my role at SS&H, I will accept a select number of clients who are motivated to make a positive change in their money habits and desire assistance with plotting a long-term financial plan. If that sounds like you, please contact me and we can discuss how we might work together.
