I believe financial security means having choices. And while getting there is different for everyone based on their own dreams and goals, it does have a few basic building blocks. Those include things like being credit card debt free, knowing where your money goes each month and having some clear goals that are in line with your passions and values. To help you put those pieces in place and give yourself the choice to make your own path, I employ a simple and flexible process:

The first step is a discovery meeting, which usually runs about 2 hours. This meeting can be done in person, over the phone or even using Skype. Before the meeting, I will send you some homework -- forms to complete, a few questions to ponder, and a list of documents I'd like to see. (don't worry, it's not that tough and I won't be grading you)

At our first meeting we'll go through your homework and I'll ask you a lot of questions. What are your fears? Where are you today and where do you want to be? What questions do you have? Most importantly, what does financial security mean to you? Throughout the meeting we'll assemble a rough to-do list and brainstorm ideas. I'll definitely ask, "Why?" a lot. 

At the end of our meeting, we'll both have more work to do. This is where the process is customized based on your starting point and your goals. No matter what, we'll decide together on next steps, and establish a meeting schedule to stay on track. Above all, you can count on feeling less stressed about your money. And that's the biggest reason to take action now.

So, what do I charge? My fee is $150/hour. We agree before each meeting how long to meet, and if needed, the amount of time I'll spend doing work outside of meetings. Either way, you'll always know in advance what my fees will be.
